The Ndoni-Agboh Aboh Niger bridge is a linkage which when constructed would link Delta state to Rivers state and enable people to travel from from Ndoni in rivers state to to Aboh in Delta within fifteen minutes of driving as against the, Avon being very close to kwale town is also well connected by road to Onitcha, the major commercial city in South East which services south east and south south region.
This bridge if constructed will provide a very cheaper, shorter and more convinnient alternative for road users across South South and south east region.
It will also allow for the opening up of the Aboh kingdom and the adjoining commu cities in Ndoni which will in turn impact positively on the economy of the people of the area.
Representing a major and very important link within the Niger Delta region, the economic value of such a bridge to the nation in this period of our history can not be over emphasized.
Regrettably the bridge was awarded for construction by the Niger Delta Development commission in 2013 but was abandoned till date
I therefore passionately call on the Governor of Delta and Rivers states His excellencies Barr. Nyesom Wike and Sen. Dr. Ifeany A. Okowa, senator representing Delta North in the senate who coincidentally the senate committee chairman on NDDC and Niger Delta Affairs, Sen. Peter O. Nwaoboshi and his rivers state counterpart, Hon. Ossai N. Ossai member representing Ndokwa federal constituency and his Rivers state counterpart, The commissioner representing Delta state on the Board of DESOPADEC, Ogaga Ifowodo, the Executive Director projects, Engr Ajogbe and all well meaning South South stakeholders to rally each other and see to it that the said bridge is re-arwarded and consteucted for the benefit of all.
This is a call that should be taken seriously beyond politics or political affiliations, I believe that if all parties is can work together for the success of this project, then it is achievable within a short period.
I sincerely want to state that beyond politics, Ndoni-Aboh bridge is a necessity
