It was a charged atmosphere yesterday being 23rd of December, 2018 as the delegation of Revive Africa Initiative Decorated the Ethiope west Local Government Council chairman Hon. Solomon O. Golley as the best local government chairman in Nigeria per excellence in recognition of his exceptional exploits in security, project execution, workers welfare and youth inclussive governance at his Residence in Oghara.
The chairman who appreciated the group for finding him worthy, was particularly interested in some the projects of the initiatitive. He commended the initiative particularly for their interventions in education for the at risk and idegent persons and their prison reform and inmate advicacy project nothing that may persons are serving jail terms or unnecessarily remanded for a very long time, an experience he had seen first hand as an lga chairman.
We promised to key into the "educate the African child campaign" currently being chapioned to return out of school children to school. In his words " i will personally make sure that the leadership of the council considers and supports this your appeal for collaborative sponsorship in our next EXCO meeting, and i can assure you that we will not support you with less than one million Naira"
The chairman further Assured the Initiative that they will hear from him before the first of January noting that every African child deserves to be educated and sponsorship should not be the hidrance.
In a vote of thanks, the Director of good governance campaign from Côte d’Ivoire appreciated the chairman for his hospitality and goodwill.
