Revive Africa Initiative Berates Erring South Africa, Seek AU Sanctions Over Xenophobic Attacks

Revive Africa Initiative has through a press statement by its Director-General, Amb Ugagaoghene Ogheneyole, frowned at the untamed xenophobic attacks targeted at Africa immigrants in South Africa.Berating the South African military and police for complicity in the attacks by keeping mum during the xenophobic activities of her citizens, Revive Africa Initiative called on the African Union to impose severe sanctions on erring South Africa."We condemn in strong terms the xenophobic attacks on other African immigrants by the South African nationals."These renewed attacks are diabolical, and they are evil. These attacks can lead to a revolution from other African countries as South Africans do not enjoy the monopoly of violence. It is out of place that South Africa government, whose businesses enjoy lucrative and robust diplomatic cooperation and are major revenue earners  across different African Nations, cannot curtail continuous killing and maiming of other African citizens by her own citizens. It is very worrisome and Revive Africa Initiative critically condemn the attacks. It is a threat to South Africa's sovereignty if the authorities cannot curb the excesses of her xenophobic citizens." Amb Ugagaoghene said.
